About Our Garden Club
Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here.

I have been flower gardening for over 40 years, and I also enjoy caring for houseplants. Through the years, I have had plenty of failures and many wonderful successes, and I have truly loved the journey. Gardening has taught me patience, creativity, resilience, and the joy of watching something grow.
Five years ago, my family moved to East Tennessee, and since then I have been blessed with the opportunity to create the garden I had always dreamed of. It has become a place of beauty, peace, learning, and inspiration.
For several years, I have been thinking about starting a garden club. My heart behind this club is simple: I want to share, learn, and grow alongside others who enjoy gardening too. I believe there is so much we can learn from one another, whether we are experienced gardeners, beginners, or somewhere in between.
My vision for Friends in Bloom Garden Club is to create a warm and welcoming group where we can gather monthly, enjoy garden-related activities, take field trips, invite guest speakers, share plants and ideas, and learn from each other’s experiences.
One of the most important reasons I wanted to start this club is friendship. Gardening is a beautiful passion, but it is even more meaningful when it is shared. My hope is that this club becomes a place where friendships grow right alongside the flowers — a place where we can encourage each other, laugh together, learn together, and enjoy the beauty of gardening in community.
Whether you have been gardening for years or are just getting started, you are welcome here. I look forward to growing, learning, and blooming together.
Three principles, kept simply.
Learn & Grow Together
We believe every gardener has something to learn and something to share. Whether we are beginners or experienced gardeners, we grow by exchanging ideas, experiences, successes, and even our garden failures.
Build Friendship Through Gardening
We believe gardening is even more meaningful when it is shared. Our club is a welcoming place to form friendships, enjoy social time, encourage one another, and connect with others who share a love of gardening.
Share the Joy of Gardening
We believe gardening brings beauty, peace, creativity, and inspiration. Through monthly meetings, activities, field trips, guest speakers, and plant sharing, we celebrate the joy of gardening and inspire one another along the way.
